Boards and Commissions are an established feature of Kennewick’s municipal government. They offer citizens an opportunity to participate in the City’s governmental process. Their activities help shape and influence public policy in many areas. Their influence and value are significant because they lend a more diverse viewpoint for the City Council to consider.
The City Council relies on these volunteer citizen groups for thoughtful advice to create policies and develop programs.
The City of Kennewick has several boards and commissions that include citizens and residents. These individuals devote their energy, time and expertise to make Kennewick a better place for everyone.
The City of Kennewick is accepting applications from Kennewick residents and business owners interested in serving on the Arts Commission, Block Grant Advisory Committee, Historic Preservation Commission, Housing Authority Board, Parks & Recreation Commission, and Planning Commission where we presently have openings.
The application deadline for 2022 vacancies are noon of Monday, February 28th, 2022.
If you are interested in a future position, please complete an online application. If you have questions, please call 585-4238.
